“Competitions of Bogatyrs” is a winter festival with the aims to raise the interest of the Segesha region residents in folk holidays, to support social and cultural initiatives of population, to use cultural resource and initiatives of population as a factor of territory development and creation of object for event tourism.

Surrounded by lakes and forests the fishing-and-hunting center “Windy Belt” is located in the center of Karelia, far from any civilization, in the region of wild birds. In summer we offer you: rowing boat walk along the picturesque shores, cycling and quadracycling on the forest roads, walking tours, and fishing on Hizhozero lake can’t let the beginners and the experienced fishermen stay indifferent. The autumn holiday is notable by forest gifts – berries and mushrooms. In winter shining snow gives a desire to go skiing, winter fishing. Snowmobiling is offered to safari lovers. Friendly and flexible service, good meals and comfortable accommodation makes the vacation perfect.

Historically Segezha is known for its Paper Mill, which is the biggest in Europe producer of craf paper. Therefore,  Paper  Theme  is  strongly  used  in  cultural  aspects  of  Segezha’s  life.  Different pieces  of  art  are  crated  using  paper:  costumes,  art-show,  master  classes  and  of  course,  Paper Carnival, which is started its life in 1999.

The mam idea of this project is promotion and development of “Segezha’s Paper Carnival” as unique resource of cultural tourism. So, as a result this carnival can be run every year. Due to it Segezha may become an interesting place for event tourism.

Short  description: “Rybka”  is  a  music  show  which  attracts  professional  and  nonprofessional music bands. Participants are bands and singers of rock, pop, jazz, hip-hop, classic music, and also people dealing with folklore, small theaters, dances, art, circus fashion, DJ’s movement etc.
