WHITE ROAD “Cross Border Tourism Development in Northern Finland and the Republic of Karelia” (KA325) The title of the project White Road refers to the traditional routes between Northern Finland and Northern Karelia in Russia. These important routes have connected the Baltic Sea with the White Sea. The project area includes Kainuu and Kuusamo regions in Finland and Louhi, Kostomuksha, Kalevala, Kem, Byelomorsk, Segezha regions in Russia. The target groups are tourism small and medium enterprises (SME) and educational institutions engaged in accommodation, transport, ski & spa services in Kainuu and Oulu Regions and the Republic of Karelia involved in cross-border activities or planning to start cross-border co-operation. The final beneficiaries are the above mentioned SME´s and their customers. Partners:
